museoIn the same center of the La Yaya town, belonging to the Niceto Pérez municipality, a large building was inaugurated, which was inaugurated on October 20, 1983 as a Municipal Museum, which was given the name of a martyr from the municipality of Ángel Hardy Rivera who had fallen in the fight against Bandits in the Escambray.

Its architectural style corresponds to the prototype used in the province. Its objective is to rescue, protect and display the heritage of the territory; rich in peasant, livestock traditions and peasant struggles.

Its two permanent rooms show objects belonging to archaeological sites in the area, mainly from the pre-agricultural culture, and to the development and promotion of the town: the struggles for liberation and the campaigns of the Revolution, including the customs and idiosyncrasies of its inhabitants. It is supported by models and other mounting elements that make it more attractive.
